Leadership changes at ACT

ACT, a Fujitsu company, has announced that Gary Watts, Chairman and Executive Director, is embarking on a 12-month sabbatical from the business commencing 1 February 2019.

During a period of over 15 years, Gary has taken the company from a technology start up to a market-leading digital ticketing business. Throughout this time, ACT has supported transport organisations across the UK, delivering innovative ticketing technologies for concessionary travel, multi-operator commercial solutions and, more recently, account-based ticketing.

ACT’s diverse and experienced Senior Management Team will continue to deliver ACT’s strategy to enable smoother journeys for public transport users and operational efficiency for transport organisations.

Mark Fagan, ACT Sales Director and member of the ACT Senior Management Team, has been appointed to the board of Directors to lead ACT.

Commenting on Gary’s valuable contribution to the business, Mark Fagan said: ” On behalf of ACT and the Board, I would like to thank Gary for his very significant contribution to ACT and Fujitsu.  Gary is a technology industry entrepreneur with deep experience in creating and growing technology businesses. Gary Watts added: “I believe this is now the time to take a step back and recharge, focusing my attention on those closest to me.
