ACT, a Fujitsu company, has been awarded a three-year contract to supply a complete smart-ticketing solution for Lincolnshire County Council’s (LCC) concessionary travel scheme.
The solution selected by LCC comprises of ACT’s HOPS, CMS, Concessionary Portal and Analytics platform. This powerful, ITSO-certified product suite will help to simplify the management of the concessionary travel scheme used by 130,000 card holders in Lincolnshire.
The new contract includes the implementation of an easy-to-manage application and renewals process through ACT’s proven Concessionary Portal – a key requirement for the council as it is about to embark on a major card-renewal programme.
Starting in April 2017, the council needs to process up to 7,000 cards a month. A reliable and efficient card renewals process will therefore be critical to ensure card replacements are managed efficiently, without incurring unnecessary administration time.
ACT Analytics will be also deployed to give the council greater insight into the needs of concessionary card holders. ACT Analytics provides the tools to better understand passengers’ travel patterns, tailor services to match demand, reduce operating costs and identify any unusual journey activity.
