ACT, a Fujitsu company, has launched Smart Enable, an ITSO ticketing platform that makes it easy for suppliers to incorporate ITSO* capability into their products – without complex infrastructure changes.
Smart Enable gives passengers a far easier way to keep their smart travel card or device loaded with the tickets they need to travel. It ITSO-enables a wider, more accessible retail and validation network giving passengers an easy way to buy, download, collect and validate tickets on mobile, on the platform, online, in store or as they board.
An earlier release (called Remote POST) enabled suppliers to offer this capability for real-time processing within ITSO schemes, which has been successfully deployed by suppliers operating in high connectivity environments.
Now, with options for both real-time and off-line processing, network coverage is no longer a barrier for ITSO retailing, collection or validation.
The key benefit of including validation for in-transit environments is that it safeguards revenue protection for the operator by preventing fraudulent card use. With Smart Enable, retail, collection and validation can all be achieved using a single POS device.
